WHO ARE WE?
The Center for Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Development (CenORT) is a non-governmental, independent and non-profit institution that has the role of a research, advisory, information-documentation and communication center for the field of sustainable tourism development. Encouraging the development of special forms of tourism, especially rural tourism and ecotourism, can be considered as the special goals of CenORT .
CenORT is a member of several international organizations. CenORT is part of the EU Pact for skills and participates in the activities of the Pact for Tourism Skills to address current and future skills needs to make the tourism sector more digital, sustainable and resilient.
The founder of CenORT is prof. Dr. Jovan Popesku, who as a university professor and president of CenORT
participated and participates in teaching, research and other activities aimed at making
tourism as an economic and social activity more responsible and sustainable.
