HORES (Business Association of the Hotel and Hospitality Industry of Serbia) and the Centre for Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Development (CenORT) as partners are starting work on the project: Tourism for All - Accessible Tourism "Certification Scheme".
The importance of accessible and inclusive tourism was particularly highlighted during the regular monthly coordination meeting of the EU Pact for Skills in Tourism (PacTS4ALL), which was held on May 31, 2024. The meeting was also attended by Jovan Popesku, president of the CenORT, which, as an organization, is a member of the EU Pact for Skills in Tourism.
At the part of the meeting dedicated to accessible and inclusive tourism key speakers were:
Ivor Ambrose, Director General of the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT), on
the topic: Setting the scene
Magnus Berglund, Accessibility Business (SE) on the topic: Good practice in accessible
tourism training
Marine Thizon, HOTREC, on the topic: DIVETOUR, a digital VET training approach and
Jovana Ružić, Ruraltour, on the topic: ACCESS IT - Accessible Tourism in micro/nano
services
Apart from the introductory presentation by I. Ambrose, which was dedicated to the
importance of accessible and inclusive tourism, as well as education and training related to it,
the participants were presented examples of specific projects that dealt with training for
accessible tourism.
The experiences presented will be important in the work of HORES and CenORT on the
project "Tourism for All" - Accessible Tourism "Certification Scheme".
