VESNA SPASIĆ

PhD, Full Professor Associate Professor

Vesna Spasić was born in 1955 in Kragujevac (Serbia). She finished the Faculty of Economics, at the University of Belgrade in 1977, and after that, she continued her education: M.S. Economic Science in 1986 and Ph.D. Economic Science 2002 (thesis title: „The Transfer of Technology as the Developing Strategy of Tourism Firms“).

She worked in the Yugoslav Chamber of Economy, and the General Association of Tourist Industry from 1978 up to 1992, as a consultant. After that, Vesna Spasic worked as a professor at The College of Tourism, Belgrade (1992 – 2005). From 2005 to 2017, she worked as an associate professor at Singidunum University, Belgrade - Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Her courses are Business of Travel Agencies and Tour Operators and Economic and Financial Analysis in Tourism and Hospitality and Master Studies: Management of Travel Agencies and Tour Operators.

During her long activity in the field of education, Vesna Spasic achieved remarkable results, which still included participation in educating travel guides in Serbia, in cooperating with the Ministry of Tourism. Further, she worked in different forms of permanent professional education of employees in tourism, among which her role in the Project of Education Employees in Tourism (2007). The Project was realised in cooperation between Singidunum University, Belgrade - Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and Ministry of Tourism and Vesna Spasić was the coordinator for the section Business of Travel Agencies in 4 clusters in Serbia.

During many years of her scientific and professional activity, Vesna Spasic published a large number of works, primarily in the field of travel agencies and tour operators business (textbooks, manuals, papers in scientific and professional conferences, articles in scientific and professional journals).
