Dejan Veselinov

M.A., Associate

Dejan Veselinov is director of Tourism Industry Association of Serbia (ATIS) and the owner and director of the agency "Veselinov Tourism Consulting" based in Belgrade.

He furthered his education and interests through his M.A. thesis "Contemporary Approaches to Destination Management: The Case of Belgrade," defended 2016 at the Singidunum University. His main expertise in PR and destination management was acquired during his twelve-year tenure at the Tourist Organization of Belgrade. Starting as an assistant, he gradually advanced through various PR roles until eventually attaining the director position.

As a manager, he acquired new knowledge, experiences, skills, and numerous contacts with people from around the world, particularly in tourism and other business spheres.

Over the past eight years, at his tourism consulting agency, he has worked on numerous projects in the local, cross-border, and transnational areas, particularly through the development of significant international tourism products such as the Cultural Route of the Roman Emperors, Danube Wine Route, and EuroVelo cycling routes. In these projects, he provided support and expertise in establishing destination management strategies and communications that enable effective visitor management and communication within and between all destinations involved in the routes.

Teorijski i praktični rad u vezi sa upravljanjem turističkim destinacijama je unapredio odbranivši 2016. godine na Univerzitetu Singidunum magistarsku tezu na temu „Savremeni pristupi upravljanju turističkim destinacijama na primeru Beograda“

Throughout his career, he has completed various courses and training programs, notably "Destination Pro" (European Cities Marketing) and a Sustainable Tourism training class (Global Sustainable Tourism Council).
